Green Initiatives
Thredbo understand the unique nature of the alpine environment, so in conjunction with residents, guests and local businesses we are pitching in to ensure its sustainable commercial and ecological future. As Thredbo is located in the Kosciuszko National Park, care and respect of the environment is paramount.

When in the mountains try and do your bit to keep this special place just that. 

A few tips:

• Recycle where you can
• Turn your lights off when you leave a room
• Reduce water usage by using half flush and turning off the tap when brushing your teeth.
• Put your garbage in the bin

Thredbo has joined the internationally recognised organisation for sustainable travel and tourism known as Green Globe 21, who provide benchmarks for environment and social policies. The team at Thredbo actively engage in resource conservation, renewable energy use, recycling, composting, wildlife habitat preservation and environmental education. We can all do our bit for a better world.
